February 2022 Color of the Month
Adobe Blend

February has arrived and with it brings our second ever installment of our newly coined Color of the Month series! Inspired by Valentine’s Day and all things love, Adobe Blend was the natural choice as the warm crimson hues that the tile possesses represent things like: passion, beauty, strength and confidence. Featuring a stunning mixture of maroon, terracotta, gray and amber hues, this magnificent color palette is available in a variety of roof tile profiles and complements a wide range of attractive paints and exterior architectural elements. If you fancy an exquisitely vivacious rooftop, Adobe Blend should be at the top of your list.

Design Trends and Versatility

Despite ever changing design trends, it’s no wonder why Adobe Blend remains extremely popular year after year. With four beautiful colors perfectly mixed together, this concrete roof tile offers grandiose appeal by allowing those vivid yet classic hues to transform the roofscape into an abstract art piece fit for the Guggenheim Museum. With such a colorful expression for the rooftop, prospective homeowners have the ability to either lean into the colored tiles by repainting the exterior of the home to complement the roof or radiate modernity by contrasting the blend with bright neutral exterior tones.

Featured here in our Capistrano profile, 3723 Adobe Blend’s curvaceous S-profile appearance offers a beautifully sophisticated design best suited for Tuscan and Floridian-inspired architecture. For a slightly more contemporary appearance, consider this product in our medium barrel profile, Malibu, best suited for smaller Mediterranean-styled homes or large apartment buildings. If you prefer sleekness above all else, contemplate decorating the crown jewel of your home in our lustrous and svelte Bel Air line.

Design Inspiration

No matter the profile you select, Adobe Blend is a truly unique masterpiece that invokes a variety of hues found in nature. The soft maroons and golds beg to be compared to an idyllic Cascadian meadow while the pinkish terracottas and faint charcoals remind us of the scores of reefs that line oceans all across the world.

Color Exploration

Thanks to the abundance of pigments found within Adobe Blend, homeowners and designers alike have a variety of paint options to choose from. Two such popular schemes featured here highlight the true versatility of the product.

For a modern and cool appearance, contrast the bright concrete roof tile by painting the exterior walls in a soft neutral color, like Sherwin Williams 7100 Arcade White. Enhance the disparity even further by trimming the home in a welcoming mocha hue, such as 7027 Hickory Smoke. Finally, accentuate the vivid tones found in the blend by glossing the front door in a playful amber, like 6394 Sequin.

If you prefer a more classical look akin to dwellings found near the Mediterranean, contemplate a warmer color scheme by repainting the base in a welcoming beige, like Sherwin Williams 7524 Dhurrie Beige. Continue the theme by accenting the windows and trim in a flat tan, such as 7541 Grecian Ivory. Complete the traditional look by staining the front door in 2802 Rookwood Red to highlight the terracotta staining found in the tile.
